PLANT DESCRIPTION

Modern Drum Mix technology is used to produce the highest quality hot Asphalt mixture to perform trouble-free task. Coating action in the drum mix produces uniform high quality hot mix with equipment that has few wearing parts and require less maintenance.

Various Components of Asphalt drum mix plants: 

Cold Aggregate Four-bin Feeder 

It is of single chassis construction. these feeder have each Bin a radial gate is provided which can be opened in any position to regulate the aggregate flow. Various individual belts are below these gates to discharge material onto the gathering belt.

DRYER UNIT

With minimum heat loss these accurately fabricated dryers ensures proper heating of aggregates. Specially designed flight lift and cascade the aggregate to reduce final moisture content to 0.5% (by weight). Provided with segmented driving sprocket, these drums are supported on steel rollers and steel tyres with idlers and guide rollers. At one end of the drum, a fully automatic high pressure auto jet burner is mounted. Heated aggregate is discharged directly to the loadout conveyor through discharge chute design.

ASPHALT TANK

ASPHALT TANK Insulated with glass wool which have 15/20 - ton capacity with direct-fired heating method through imported light oil auto burner. Variable speed 05 HP D C. drive for pump to synchronize with dry aggregate flow rate to produce mix conforming to design mix at all loads, thermostatic control to control the burner to maintain at pre-set asphalt temp. Hot oil pump, hot oil jacketing for asphalt pump & pipeline up to discharge.

Stores, meters and delivers the asphalt in required proportion to the mixing section of the drum. Asphalt is sprayed uniformly in the mixing zone for accurate coating on aggregates.

Flue tube designed for optimum surface area to affect necessary heat transfer.

Asphalt pumping station consisting of positive displacement type jacketed asphalt pump coupled with variable speed drive unit.

Hot oil jacketed delivery & return lines for smooth functioning.

Automatic burner suitable for LDO / Diesel fuel.

Variable speed drive is synchronized with the variable speed drives of each feeder bin, mineral filler unit and weighbridge load cell to deliver exact percentage of asphalt in the mix material and to meet the job mix formula.


BITUMEN TANK

Fully Insulated Bitumen Storage & Heating Tanks are available with various capacity models. Capacity each are provided, fabricated from steel plates with 50 mm glasswool insulation, manhole, thermocouples, etc. Bitumen is pumped to the dryer drum through pipe lines. Tanks are fitted with independent on-off type burners.Sufficient thickness of Insulation & Advanced Oil Burner saves the valuble Fuel for Heating of the Bitumen.

VIBRATING SCREEN

A single-deck vibrating screen is used onto the slinger conveyor to remove oversize aggregate received fromthe Raw Material coming from the Four Bin Feeder


SLINGER CONVEYOR

An inclined conveyor mounted on idlers receives aggregate from the gathering conveyor and feeds it to the dryer. Slinger Conveyor is provided to transfer the Screened Raw material from Four Bin Feeder to the Thermo Drum. Load Cell is fitted on this conveyor to weigh the material being transferred.

LOAD OUT CONVEYOR

These load out conveyor helps in feeding the mixed aggregate into tippers. These mixed aggregates from dryer drum is discharged on these inclined conveyor provided with hydraulic hopper at delivery end.

CONTROL CABIN

A fully automatic control panel with feather touch controls is provided  control the quality and quantity of production. These control cabins have operator sitting in Air-conditioned comfort.All systems are completely synchronized with automatic / manual control of burners, load cells, mix temperature, cold feed / mineral / bitumen proportions, etc. Manual control is possible through over-ride system.All the safety measures are adopted to avoid overloading, short-circuit, etc.
